For those who want a comfortable 260hp DD, or FWD Aristocrat. This one actually looks pretty good in the pictures, apart from a need for some underhood detailing and a shifter jalousie (~30 minutes/$30 fix). No rust that I could see in the doglegs, comes with HIDs, and the mention of actual maintenance, PCV upgrades and synthetic oil are encouraging.

9-5 Sedan

Selling a Saab 9-5 Aero 2.3L Turbo -- quick little car, fun to drive. Great on gas. 154k miles.

Overall good condition; new tires, new battery, new oil switch, new serpentine belt, new fuel filter, new brake lines, new front stabilizer links and a fresh full-synthetic oil change. Also has the 2004 9-5 PCV update (highly recommended by Saab experts). Always ran it on 93-octane, although it will run fine on standard 87-octane. Completely unmolested, never raced or modified.

Black leather interior, heated seats (front and rear), automatic transmission, sunroof, power everything, cruise, tilt, dual climate control, HID headlights, headlight washers, AM/FM/Cassette/CD. Saab-unique 'Night Panel' feature works (as depicted in photos).

Also has functioning Winter and Sport Mode -- very fun to drive and fantastic in the snow!!

Runs, drives and handles great! Bought a new vehicle and have four others already, so this one had to be cut, unfortunately.

$2500/obo

That looks like a good deal.

What engines are in these things? Are they known to explode?

Its a 2.3L B235R, same overall design as the B202 in your C900. They last long time if taken care of, but sludge up if not.

If the PCV is updated and you change the oil regularly with synthetic, they should last forever. The head of my -04 looks brand new inside thanks to 185k worth of Mobil1.

Main reason I posted this one is that the owner seems to actually have a brain about these, did the PCV update, and uses synthetic.

That is basically the car I went to FL to get except for mine being a stick. As XLR99 said as long as the maint has been done the motor will run for a long time. My last one had 240K on it when I got hit and it was totaled.
