Compared to say, a Boeing, or a Panamax cargo ship, I guess it's fuel efficient.

Yes, but with 1/2” thick paint constantly applied they might survive.
I bet that would be an interesting place to walk around in for a bit. Especially if there's a building or two to look in.
If I brought home another engine less (or non running) car I'd probably get stabbed in the chest. I do want those Datsuns though. I wonder how rusty that blue one is?
