Yeah.  I think that's around the limit of the factory blower on those.

That's impressive. Obviously, the trans wasn't built for it, though. 

I haven't heard of trans issues in the past with these.  The same trans is in the turbo cobalt SS which can make over 300 crank hp under warranty.  I'm guessing some aggressive shifting combined with an aggressive clutch kit did it in

Probably forgot to fill or check tranny lube until it started howling.
