It really seems like these are ripe to make money parting them out. I haven't looked into it but it seems like there would be good money in easily shippable stuff on these.

Those trannys are grenades. I bet the swap is a pita.

I have had the same thought, though I haven't done one yet to know for sure

I spent some time on eBay looking at sold items and it looks like you could recover your cost with the cylinder head alone and make a couple grand on shippable parts. The body parts look like they do sell but shipping those is a pain.

I'd try it out but I'm still selling bits of a gs400 I parted a couple years back. Maybe once I'm out of those parts. ;)

A trans swap and then rust remediation would be necessary. Other than for a Challenge build I'd go looking for a better example. Or, as others have said , part it out.
