That's pretty clean for up north. But I agree I don't know if I'd start a resto with that much work.
I would budget having to replace the bottom 6" of sheet metal. Then it's still a carbureted 305 with manual drum brakes all around. Pass unless you're looking for project
Motor is not much newer, looks like a 2 barrel smog era variant. If you want a ratty old truck and can beat him down a few hundred bucks, sure, otherwise no (go look at Tuna's Tuna's build/resto, or how this much more solid looking one is coming along). I'd recommend buying from the desert if you want a cheap one.
