91 Saab 900S NA 5 speed- Ann Arbor, MI- all mine and stuff- $1750

My grand plans for taking the Saab rallycrossing this summer have changed. Namely, I’m not going to make it out after all.

In fact, the poor old girl has been sitting in the driveway since I changed the oil in April, save a 15 or so mile drive to make sure everything was happy afterwards.

And it is rather apparent that the car will be sitting the rest of the summer, the fall, the winter and then who knows in the spring. This car doesn’t deserve to end up in the ran when parked category, so I’m hoping to sell it to someone who will drive it.

Issues I know of currently:

• Needs a new battery. I will buy one on Friday Aug 4
• The turn signal doesn’t like to stay clicked in when turning left all the time. It takes a couple of tries before it will stay on by itself, then clicks off after the turn.
• I don’t have rear speakers for the car, but the wiring is there
• The motorized antenna isn’t motorized anymore. I never got a chance to look into that.
• The exhaust has been welded together more than once (only once by a shop since I owned it), but it still seems solid. As a result of these many fixes, it doesn’t have a catalytic converter.
• The ABS accumulator took a dump, and I haven’t replaced it yet. The brakes work fine, but if you get on the brake pedal hard you will get an ABS and BRAKE light on the dash, and they will go off again.

It’s a 91 900S NA five speed in good shape. It’s all solid underneath. There is a little rust here and there, but not terminal by any means. It also comes with a set of General Altimax Arctics with one season on them and a set of used wheels like these.. They aren’t super pretty, but servicable. And best of all- there is an ultra HOT GRM sticker in the back window!

I had a couple threads going on it, but photobucket seems to have completely flaked out so the pics don’t work. Once I figure out a way around that I’ll post pics. Or I can email them- they will be a little better than CL quality.

Mileage is at 167,670. It has a clean title in my name. It has Mastercraft tires on it now in good condition.

HVAC works? Any fluid leaks?

Too bad I'm broke. I've always liked these and yours seems pretty solid. It looks like it would be a great winter car.

A/C does not blow cold air, and I can't say for sure why. I haven't looked into it at all. But the heat works as It should- and how!

Last summer while I was DDing it it had a tiny oil drip after being driven. But the oil level never seemed to go down. Best I can figure is the PO overtightened the oil filter during an oil change right before I bought it, as that has stopped.

It is a great car in the snow. I never drove it after the salt hit the roads though.

These are the snow tires and wheels I have for it. Again, not super pretty. I was planning on using them for rally cross.

I also forgot I have a folder full of service records too- going back to the original owner if I remember correctly.

You should drive the Saab up to Waterford Hills for the vintage races this weekend, stick a for sale sign in the window, and take it round on the lunch break parade laps. I'll probably be there with the Civic on Saturday, maybe Sunday afternoon too.

No, no interest yet. But this is the only place it is listed. I done have the mental energy to deal with a Craig's List ad- lol.

I guess I neglected to put an OBO clause in my listing too. The price in the thread title is negotiable.

There is! Some of us are making the trek from KY, actually.

That sounds fun! Seems like Saab owners would be cool people to hang out with.
