Are the engine and transmission electronics connected on these things? I've read way too many horror stories about how easy it is to screw up a 4L60E rebuild that I'd be more tempted to try to rebuild the 700R4 in my S10 if I went for this.
they are both pcm controlled but it's as simple as not hooking up the wires and turning it off in the program.
i can do that as well as tune out emissions stuff with hptuners but it'll cost me $100 in tuning credits. i'm probably going to run my next one with a th350.
Hmm, I'll see if I can give myself a crash course in the LS swap this evening, but I'm still probably doubtful.
