NMNA.
The chasis it's sitting on (MR2) is extra $.

Sorta. It is sitting on space saver spares with hella backspacing. So real wheels and tires would be sticking way out. It would need some box flares. Not that thats a bad thing. Box flares and a crazy racecar paint job would be cool as E36 M3 on there. Somebody do that.
It's also getting hard to find an MR2 for under Challenge pricing, so using one as a chassis & possible drivetrain donor for this probably only makes sense if it's a complete basket case.
Then again, you may be able to recoup enough off it to zero it out.
I like the idea. Not sure if the ad is saying the MR2 chassis is included for $1000 extra so the whole deal is $1350 or if he means for $1000 you get the whole deal. The ad reads either way to me.
If the Europa wasn't so dang ugly I'd probably already own one.
Then again, if it wasn't so dang ugly they wouldn't be so cheap.

It's only ugly to the people behind you.
Here's a frame for $1500:

That makes you really wonder what is kind of stuff is just sitting stacked up on someone's garage or basement.

Umm, your memory is not serving you very well. I know, because I have it!

I've been secretly wondering for a while if the mythical free Europa was still in the wild and who had it. I guess now I know.
dherr wrote: That is a fantastic idea! Who will bring the first Lotus(ish) to the Challenge?
Might be me, since if been working on an almost identical idea for quite a while now.
All I need to do is get out from under The Curse of the Lotus.

Get in line.

Ok. Hopefully it's able to move with you and you do bring it to the challenge to kick my ass one day.

close, but no. When you go bankrupt trying to restore it, you can live in the boat. It will be helpful because youll have been evicted from your home. Worst case scenario, youll be able to burn smaller parts of the boat to stay warm in the winter.
If you try to live in, or use a Europa body as a heat source, theres a 95% chance you will 100% die.
You'll need to log in to post.
