This is not mine personally, but belongs to a relative. My great-uncle is in a home now and all of his old stuff is going away (he was quite the hoarder of industrial things). One of those things is his 90-something Roadmaster Wagon.

Here's what I know about it:

  • It's a complete car. I think it has a 5.7 V8 in it or something. Last year he stopped driving it when it needed something fixed. IDK what it is. I haven't tried to start it, nor do I plan to.

  • There are boxes of new parts inside it (two brake calipers, some other stuff)

  • It has a hitch

  • It has a free and clear title.

That's about what I know. They need it gone NOW, else it gets hauled away to scrap. So here's the deal: You come get it and take it away. Cost: negligible. My uncle is in a home and his family is paying for it, so if you want to slip them a hundred bucks or two, that would be nice. But they just need it gone, and aren't trying to make money on it.

Also, it currently has a bunch of old golf clubs in the back (again, uncle was a hoarder of golf-related stuff). One of the conditions of you taking it is helping to unload this stuff of anything they want to keep, and getting rid of the rest of it yourself.

Car is located in Clifton, Va. (just south of Washington DC). Contact me directly, and I'll put you in touch with my aunt. This is a "no tire kickers" thing. If you ARE going to take it, talk to me. If you just want to check it out, my aunt and I don't have time for that. Come get it however you can in the next week or so. You bring the trailer, you load it, it's yours.....

Here are a few quick pics

Sure wish I was local on this one.... Can you snap a shot of the engine bay? (LT1 might be hiding in there if it's a 94,95 or 96)

I wish the all the best for your great uncle and his family. It's a rough transition I've seen up close and personal all too often.

I don't know my GM engines all that well, but I think that's an L05, not an LT1 in this one.

Yes you are correct, that is Not an LT1. But still a sweet comfortable riding boat with lots of space out back. YES, you can fit a 4x8 foot sheet of plywood in the back with the gate closed.

It won't fit on a U-haul trailer.

That will handle towing an E30 and many other popular 2WD rallycross platforms. Just saying.

In reply to irish44j:

I was implying for others as your rig is quite stout.

Any idea why that fire extinguisher is placed there?

Uncle always used to have one nearby whenever working on any of his cars, for safety. I'm sure he just left it there one day. If you saw the rest of his property, you'd see he just leaves things everywhere (and knows exactly where they are). I'd highly doubt it's actually still charged sufficiently, haha...probably just force of habit.
