Is it me or does that seem like a cross between a Dodge Neon and a Mercury Cougar?
A good friend of mine had a red one which he swapped the mx-6 2.5 litre v6 engine into. It was awesome!!! These have a 1.8 litre v6 I believe. Same block as the larger engine I believe.

Kl swaps are common. These things can be rockets if done right....jamesmcd and sf1 know a lot more than i do, though.
Hong Norrth have won a lot of Lemons races in MX3s.
Always liked them but never drove one...
If anyone is interested I have an aborted chumpcar (1996 626) we ripped apart this winter with a 2.5 KL motor, fresh clutch etc. I think we were asking $400 for it.
Combine the two and have a quickish little car.
