GRM price, $400. I can probably make room to hold it a while. One of these days I'll get the motivation to pull the muffler off and shoot it with some grill paint (it was decarbonized using the campfire method).

edit: updated listing, listed price raised to keep the riffraff out/make them lowball me reasonable numbers.

1986 has a kick starter, and a steel pulley for the drive belt.  If you grind off .050 to .100 it will go 35mph.  I used to modify these for friends, one got pulled over going 55mph.  The cop told him if he saw him speeding again he would pull it apart himself to figure out what he did.  In the end he did not get a ticket.

Much want, but I am broke for another month or two.  And I am local, Shelby, the other side of Charlotte.

I forget the size but there's a standard industrial/automotive A series belt that's a little wider than the stock one, supposedly does the same thing by riding higher in the front pulley.

Am I correct to assume no title?  Ohio is kind of particular about that kind of thing if I want to register it.

Sorry, forgot I posted this. Michigan does not issue titles for mopeds, all you need to tag one here is a bill of sale or the old registration signed over with the little form on the back. I never got around to registering this one, though I could if it'd be helpful, the fee and taxes work out to like $20.

I'm pretty sure I'm hosed in Ohio, based on researching getting something like this in from Kentucky, but I'll do a little digging. Could go with the Delaware? method, but seems like to much effort for something this common.

If Michigan does not issue titles you should be able to take the registration to Ohio and they will issue a title for it. That's how I got my title for the CT90 through Vermont. I got a valid registration in VT since they just need a bill of sale for certain age/under 300cc and then took that to the Ohio BMV and they gave me a title.

So all you needed was a Vermont registration (no title), and a bill of sale? Hmm.

You'll need to log in to post.
