Less miles, less money, newer year

Are these as bad as their pricing suggests? They tend to be really cheap.

The convertible I drove once felt like a Golf without a roof... which wasn't surprising since that's pretty much what they are. As I'm not a fan of modern VWs I was not impressed.

Edit, they're still gorgeous cars though.

The seller sounds like a total tit-head.

Judging by the pics on both front fenders are a blind spot maybe in the same way side skirts seem to be a blind spot on New Beetles. The first seller seems more intelligent but I would care less how much money you spent on mods in high school.

I had a 2000 Quattro Coupe that I bought while I was in college back in 2002 or 2003. I loved that car and it certainly turned heads. It wasn't all that fast with only 180 hp but was still entertaining. But, to answer your question, the reason I got rid of mine was because every other month it was in the shop for some new $1K repair. Being that I was still in college I could afford the car, but not the constant repairs. I sold it and took a massive hit on depreciation. The day after the new owner picked up the car, the MAF went out and he had to take it to the dealer. He tried to get me to pay for the repair but there was no way that was happening.
