This one actually does look pretty "Clean" aka can't see rust immediately, although it's clearly dirty... Someone scoop it up and take it to the challenge! (Or baby it)

^^ Bingo. It's all Mazda, minus a couple of body panels. 4 cylinder engine rated at 74 Horsepower. 4 speed trans, and 4.10s in the rear. The biggest specialty item is the front grill (which looks to be there and in great shape). Suspension components are still easy to source (and cheap), and if you can find the right junkyard you can get disk brakes up front pretty easily. Nearly anything (4 cylinder or v-configuration) swaps in if you're willing to make the mounts..
Based on cJ's other project, isn't the engine an early BP bloodline?
In other words, a Miata powertrain would go in pretty easy.
Those were popular with farmers in the day. Good for running to town to get parts etc. for the farm. The Chevy Luv's were too.
Here is somebody's second chance! Less clean, more hack-able, running, and cheaper!!
