linky poo

NO TITLE! Diesel engine with automatic transmission. Meyer plow. Put on a new starter and it does not run. I never got to run it. Plow does angle back and forth. Doesn't go up and down. Clicks as if possible selanoid. Idk. Selling it as it sets. Good old project. First $1000 cash takes it! No trades....$1000 cash. Will need rollback or trailered home. Calls only responded to

There's a lot of recoup sitting there, would be an easy 0 budget challenger if you have a motor sitting around.

That should be a 6.2 diesel. I LOVE that engine. Don't get me wrong, it's a dog but it will pull anything you ask it to. It should run as long as it's getting fuel. Mechanical fuel pump, injectors aren't hidden behind everything. I had one that was so out of tune it was popping back through the intake constantly. Still knocked down mid 20's mpgs. Mine did have a manual behind it, and it BEGS for a NV3500 swap rather than that cast iron monstrosity that was behind mine. I miss that motor. One of these days I'll pick up another truck with one and turbo it.

That's a GenYouWhine M1009. Nice.

If that is a military M1009 then it has a 3/4T suspension. Civilian K5's were 1/2T.

In reply to wlkelley3:

Just heavy springs. It still ran 1/2 ton 10 bolts F&R, albeit with a "Gov-Lok" in the rear diff. You can see the blackout light and the NATO outlet in the grille.

I have a 73-87 meyer plow. Everything works, got zero contacts about it on CL in November or December. Listed at $100. I think as the older trucks rust away demand for cheaper plows for newer ratty trucks is high and the old ones become not worth the metal they're made from. About ready to scrap the metal bits and just sell the pump and controls.

5 years ago i would have been on my way to PA for an m1009 in any sort of usable shape. Now i know better than dealing with an ex plow truck after seeing the horror that infrequent plowing did to my dump truck
