Please stop me. I already have two projects that barely have time to work on (1972 Corvette survivor and 1979 Civic vintage race car). Now along comes a race car for $2000. Started back in the spring at $3500, and dropping since. Runs and drives, not blown up when last on the track (2010), lots of goodies. I have spent more than 2K on race car projects that hadn't run in 2-3 DECADES, were non running or blown up, looked like crap, had no spares, and little or no go-fast goodies. Maybe a challenge car, or go vintage racing. My club (VSCDA) now takes cars up to 1989. Should easily be mid pack in our Group 8, and reasonably reliable with a stock motor. The CL ad:

This with some sell-offs and the L67 3800 sitting in my garage would be WAY too much fun...

Pretty sure thats the same car my buddy and another guy use to run at Road Atlanta back in the early 2000nds.  He wrecked his ITB TR7 and fell into this this thing for short money.  I remember it being a real slouch even thou it had lots of expensive pieces on it.  Don't think they ran it for more than a season or two before moving on to something else.

Obviously not competitive in SCCA ITA anymore. But could be low buck entry into vintage road racing (if there is such a thing as low buck road racing!cheeky). Would eligible for VSCDA and SVRA at the minimum.

This would be an ideal entry for a novice for hill climb events.  And I could tow it with the Jeep.  I mean, he, or she or whoever.

If this had been posted earlier it would have been perfect for a last-minute Challenge entry. Hell, it's still perfect for it...

Wow!  My friend built this and I painted it.  It's good to see it again.

I would put an 88 Rear suspension with coil overs on it. Hopefully they dumped the solid disc rotors that came stock on 84-87 Fieros.  Move the battery to the front.
