My dad bought this as a replacement car for a family friend. They ended up buying a different vehicle (Jeep WJ) Needs a little work.
1996 Grand Cherokee Limited
4.0L, Mileage- can't remember pretty sure it was 130k or about.
What it needs - power steering line, possibly pump. I have one a friend gave me used. Transmission diagnosis, stalls when dropped into gear. Seems like the torque converter is locked up. If you shift into 4 Low you can get it moving (just driven around the yard, not on street like that)
Fairly clean body, not perfect its a 20 year old vehicle after all.
The previous owner mentioned the stalling issue started intermittently and they had the exhaust replaced. I was thinking if there is wiring for the torque converter lockup then maybe the exhaust shop did something to it.
Paid $500 and would like to get $500. I kind of wanted to keep it to build a cheap off-roader, but need the cash more right now.
