Sure would be fun. Stick a MGB motor and trans in it, take off the fender flairs. Set of wire wheels and Bob’s your uncle.
I have all kinds of ideas for this car. Agree that the logical choice would be an MGB drive train, but given all the work involved, something more radical would be more my interest. Hope someone saves it, lots of cool history there.

My brother has a 2.3 Ford SVO turbo motor and a 5-speed that would really make that car scoot...
seller is dumb. why not (1) search for a logbook / history / etc and (2) make some mention of that search?
based on his rat rod spitfire project, I'd love to see what dherr could / would do with that hulk.
I don't see hulk at all, I see potential..... glad I have no space in the garage with two Triumphs now. I agree that this could be better sold with some history, but since he will only get $300 from the scrapper, I am sure it can be had for far less than his asking price.
