Because nascar

Buy them both, sell one to get under budget, have everyone screaming that you can't really do the race for $2017.

I will hook you up with a loaner motor and trans if I can have a race seat after the challenge.

In reply to Brett_Murphy: True, but drop almost any SBC in one and have the most fun ever at your local track days.

Getting them to turn both ways is easier than you think. I've been hillclimbing my fathers old circle track car for a few years now. To prepare it for it's new life turning both directions I balanced out the chassis, and did new upper A arms to get the camber in the right direction on both sides. Depending on how it's set up the steering rack may lock further left then it does right. Someone needs to buy these, insert SBC, Muncie 4 speed (first gear delete), and have some fun!

Damn, I'm not even into NASCAR and that seems like a screaming deal - for the pair!

Looks like the #40 Coors car was Sterling Marlin's:

And the #19 Intrepid was driven by Jeremy Mayfield: Real deal indeed!

So two questions

1) is there investment value here? Buy them, put them inside and wait 10-20 years. If not

2) if this is fair market value for these why isn't there a spec racing class for retired cup cars?

The floorpan in a pre COT NASCAR car is actually out of some old Ford, so there is a little bit of production car in there.

I can't believe it's been 5 days since the ad was posted and it's still up. I'd think they'd be sold in a day.

I doubt you'll ever get a better opportunity than this.

I've seen cup cars for sale before, but never with seats, gauges, and steering wheels.

You'll need to log in to post.
