I put a 1952 truck body on a 1987 frame, it was legally registered as a 1952.

Sounds like a great way to drag home a stolen truck.

Might make for a useful donor vehicle if it wasn't for all of the legal issues that may be waiting for whoever grabs it.

That whole area is old farms and fields that people just 4 wheeled and dicked around in.

With the ageing of the local population, it's entirely possible someone broke down and just left it there, and the property has since changed hands.

There have been a lot of "field finds" lately, and as the properties are explored and inspected for the first times in years whether from deaths or changing owners, I suspect more rusty chunks of metal will be pulled out in the coming years. But being PA, scrap yards won't take them without titles, and can't use a bill of sale for registration so they're parts cars or lawn ornaments.

Being what looks like a 90s dodge, the frame could very well have just rusted out from under someone playing in the dirt.
