My boss (back in '98) had one of those and at 5'9" I remember thinking I needed a booster seat it sat so low and the seat cushion was so wallowed out. That particular one does just scream "grandpa car" though.

Probably just a sticky IAC or something to the effect, a 4L60 usually lasts longer than 100k.

especially driven by a grandpa. my dad has the same car in white with blue top and interior. i picked it up for $800, it was a florida car so no ohio rot. guy gave car to kid, kid moved up here and decided he needed a blazer, car sat and i swooped in with cash and got it. best way to describe the experience is a leather sofa with the quietest v8 ever and a steering wheel that eventually transfers motion to the vehicle when turned. pretty relaxing drive. my dad is a grandpa so it's perfect for him. he keeps the sedan covered in the winter and drives a rusty 93 roadmonster wagon in the salt.
