If I'm not mistaken, that looks like an old Olds/Buick 225 V6.

I think that's a Buick 231 with probably 110hp when it was new. This is like a base model '79 Regal and an MGB were mashed together.

I think the 231 odd fire came from the 225. That's why it looked so familiar.

I think it looks like crushed velvet to me.
Still gotta go though. As for the trunk lid, if it increases trunk space with the spare upright like it looks it may be good for road tripping.
