Sold.

This was my first car. It got parked in my parents barn when I needed something more reliable for my daily driver. Parents sold their house, so I lost my storage. I've been planning (for years) to get this going again, but just can't get to it at the moment. I'm open to trades ,even off the wall crazy ones, just nothing electronic-ish.

$$$ Discount for Grass Roots MotorSports guys.

Contact me here or thru the Craigslist contact information (be sure to mention GRM for discount)

Here's a link to the list of Craigs ad:

Great CL ad.

Edit: I don't suppose you have a need for a PA system or other music gear, and/or a bunch of bicycles/parts?

All GRM readers should use your keywords.

"---- If you buy this you can engine swap an LS1, LS3, LQ4, 5.0, 302 sbc or any other thing your heart desires. This will get your running with the mazda Miata crowd. Turn heads with the JDM guys after you add turbo, NOS, nitrous or supercharger. Fox mustang and Camaro trans am, firebird guys will LOVE it. Buick Roadmaster Wagon guys will probably envy you too.

Guys who like Volvo turbos love this car. not as much of a sleeper as a Q45 infiniti or infinity, This coupe (NOT convertible) will get you in good with Bob Costa's. It's not all Berkleyed up either. Manual Transmission, tranny. not torsen or limited slip differential. do you like rx7 or rx8 ? you will probable like this one too. "

Cool first car! Is it as rust-free as it looks?

Long ago I would just make a long random list of keywords, but the list of craigs, thru some algorithm, now dings you if you put too many make and model key words in there, so I've developed a way aroundg their current algo

It rusty by Arizona (dry desert) standards I guess, but by Midwest (Indiana) standards its pretty "mint" I can send anyone detailed high resolution pics of any area they would like to see closer. Remember though, it HAS slumbered in a barn for the past 20 years.

Any interest in this at all?

Honestly, If I wasn't so far away and the ran when parked line wasn't too far off I'd work something out just for a cheap winter project. But... Indy is too far from PA. My wife thanks you in advance for being a 1400 mile round trip. Maybe the basement will finally get remodeled this year.

How are the seats, I realize they have been sitting 20 years and probably smell like old barn. Mostly do they slide in the rails and does the back lock. I may want this car to provide seats for my 79 DHC. Then the rest to become an autocross toy maybe a $2017 challenge car. Quite a tow for me but may be an adventure. Also does the motor turn free? Do not attempt to run any fuel from the tank, I am sure it is pretty bad if not all leaked out. Kind of concerned about the pink boots and matching wipers, anything else we should know?

Seats are usable. they'll need a thorough cleaning, and there's the usual small tear in the side bolster of the driver seat (from entry). I'd really ENJOY seeing this thing come to life as a Challenge car. How far are you? The engines turns freely by hand. As I stated in the ad, lost storage when parents sold their house, so it's been sitting outside since then. I have two other project cars taking priority over this one, and I don't want it to just sit outside (rotting) until I get around to it, if ever.

Don't worry about the boots, my daughter would miss them if they went away, and remember this thing has sat for 20 years and in the early to mid '90's those wipers were the B.O.M.B.

Send me a quick note thru the C'list ad and I'll flood your inbox with any pic you'd like (remember to mention GRM so I know you're not just some C'list guy)

I don't know Triumph too good, but that looks like a Buick V8 head that someone stuck a cam on top of.
