SOLD.
Rangers came from the factory with the 2.3 as the standard engine. So a trip to the pull-a-part should yield any motor/tranny mount you would need. I know it's been done before.
I've always wondered about putting a 2.3 turbo into an E36 BMW, or anything else that people stick the 5.0 v8s into. I'd be inclined to try if I had the cash right now.

Do It !
I know that new bride of yours won't mind, plus just image how much fun it'll be to commute together in a Turbo Bimmer!

I saw a Ranger yesterday that must have had a turbo 4 under the hood. It made mean turbo whistle sounds.
I have one of those motors and have been seeking a Mustang II to drop it into. If that or a Pinto don't show up reasonably soon I have an 82 Mustang. Just for fun ya know! Even stock it hauled that T-Bird around quite impressively!

Theres a guy in michigan just north of toledo who has a really quick 2.3t ranger. I like these motors enough ive contemplated putting one in my wagon. Really rock solid motors with a solid aftermarket. I miss the boost noises.

Turbo wagon would be yummy. Wooosh! Do it.
In reply to Tom Suddard:
the bellhousing is different, the input shaft is smaller and it would not last long
