It's a bit rough around the edges, but are there any desirable parts to recoup some of your budget?

Not a true "Cobra" Mustang however. The Cobra version got a different bumper with fog lights and never came in that color. That's just a plain old V8 Mustang that someone put Cobra badges on.
Maybe not. Looks like the car used to be red. And it looks like one picture has "Cobra" calipers as seen through one of the wheels. And it does say "Cobra" on the horn pad/airbag on the steering wheel.
It's also got the Cobra-specific intake manifold and not the normal "GT" 5.0 intake as well.
My guess is that this car was wrecked in the front end and common lower spec parts were used on the front to rebuild it in the front. Maybe when that paintwork was done to take it from red to blue.
That said, at this point I wouldn't treat it as anything other than a tired 5.0 Mustang. All of the special Cobra bits, of which there aren't a lot of in these years of the car, are probably as worn out as anything else.
It's a cobra.
The front bumper is correct (round fog lights). It has the hideous correct spoiler, correct brake calipers, correct air bag cover, correct white faced gauges and correct wheels.
94-95 Cobras had the same hood as all other trim levels.
The real tell is the vin. 8th digit is a D, which means it's a cobra.
Concur, it seems real. The nostril hood didnt come in until the modular motors in '96.
Good starting point for someone who wants to play with one, depending on how much rust there is.
The 302 is a builders delight and you get the better brakes out of the box. (although you may want better still for track work)
