Wrecked 130k short-nose 1.6s aren't valuable cars. I can tell you that if you bought that car for salvage, you'd lose money.

Yeah I was thinking at $500 it would be an interesting thing. But I would want to hack it myself personally.

Maybe a good price in Colorado or Seattle. But here in Michigan anything for that price would probably weigh less than that one even with full body, trim and top due to rust holes.

I'm gonna stand by the statement. I'm not usually one to claim there are $1000 Miatas on every corner, but we're talking about a medium mileage short nose with accident damage. That's not a valuable car anywhere. We bought one for $500 for salvage and ended up junking just about the entire thing.

Sure, you might find one in MI for that price with a lot of rust. But at least it would still be a functional vehicle. He's asking the same price range with all the rusty parts cut off and all thoughts of safety removed.

Not disagreeing that it's useless as it's stands and not worth the money. But functional working Miata's aren't $1000 here.

They're not common anywhere. But find a 130+k mile short nose 1.6 with accident damage (if you can), I'll bet it's not far off $1100.
