The MP3 was such a cool car, just underpowered, that this should have been 1000x better. Sadly, it wasn't.
Isn't the bottom end a little weak (for a Coswoth motor was it?) on these? I have some recollection of 300 hp bending rods but I might have made that up to stop myself from buying one.
I had one new for a couple years I generally liked it. The fueling solution on these things was pretty awful and it just ran really rich. Turning boost up slightly and trimming out some fuel got me lowish 14's in the quarter mile so reasonably quick. Had crazy amounts of wheel hop though. Chassis, LSD, suspension were all great. No real problems during ownership apart from the incredibly rich exhaust deteriorating the double sided tape that holds on the "body kit" on the rear bumper.
