I'd probably offer less because I'm sort of cheap.
I won't have a permanent address again until October so I'm definitely not buying. But this would be cool and fun at that price point I think anyway.

My guess is most of the frame & floors are probably gone. If it’s seen any wintertime use I’d put money on it.

It's a 2wd tracker so likely not used in the winter.
Most people drive 2WD cars in the winter.
If they're rusty the body is usually bad too. That one looks ok.
Buddy of mine has a 2WD one with a 5 speed he wants similar money for. But it's a 4 door hardtop back.

Not from my experience in IL. The body looked fine & at a glance it didn’t look too bad underneath. However the front & rear floor pans were nearly rusted through around the entire perimeter, with only the carpet holding it up in places. The front cross tube between the frame rails was rusted in 1/2 though & there was other perforations on the frame further back.

My experience as well... but for that price, who cares?

Agreed! I still want to make a Locost from one. It would be the slowest Locost out there, but I bet it would still be fun.
In case anyone doesn't know, these are actually full-frame SUVs, not unibody. Interesting tidbit of knowledge that I'm not sure why I retain, but I do.
IIRC they're rear coil spring setups.

Check out the Geo in this add, I want it real bad.
I ended up buying it.
It's actually in pretty good condition. Just needs brakes. Originally a California car for most it's life. Undercarriage is clean.
Glad I grabbed it.
