I go back and forth on whether I like these or not. I Love the back and profile but there is something odd about the front vent/headlight area that just looks wrong. I would have to do something about that.
One of these days I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these and do bad things with it. There is one guy out there that's already stuffed an atlas (2.6? the big colorado/canyon 4 cylinder) into it.

It's the headlights, or more specifically, the outside of the headlight covers. They are disproportionately large. It's because they roll instead of just flipping up like a Corvette.
It shouldn't be impossible to convert the headlights to some Miata NA units. I've always liked the looks of those cars, just needs a more modern power plant.
Yep, mechanical operated by a cable from a lever on the center console. That's also how you turn the lights on. Power applied through key on, roll-over the lights and it depresses a microswitch that turns on the headlights and taillights. Turn the key off the headlights go off. Pretty neat with how simple the system is. It's the biggest draw when I take my GT out.
I personally like the large headlight panels. It's uniquely Opel. I've seen some that have been removed and I think they look odd with nothing to visually break up the nose panel besides the nostrils.
