FWIW, there are two timing belts, one for each bank. The left one also drives the oil pump and is usually the first to break. The distributor is also on the left cylinder head, so there is no chance of having an engine that can run with no oil pump. These are non interference engines.
Slow as Christmas and the handling dynamics are mostly good only because they can't go fast enough to get into much trouble.
I once looked at one of those that looked way cleaner than that one. Got it in a hoist and was shocked how little metal was left holding the suspension on.
Even when it was new that speedo was quite optimistic. Lots of old subies here, but they all run, and are also rusted in half.
