Yep. I'd be more interested if it was a coupe to build up as a rally-cross/winter beater. Some day I will stumble across one and have to make a real decision (I'm not currently looking so as to avoid that decision).

I had my '76 Coupe listed (here on the forum) about a year ago for $800 obo, and had ZERO interest. (it hadn't run in lots of years, but it was in pretty good shape)
Deals are out there to be had, you've just gotta be ready to pull the trigger when they present themselves.

I don't remember seeing it. Depending on when a thread gets started, it's not uncommon for me to miss it entirely if it happens to get posted when I'm doing something that has me away from a computer for a few days.
Not to mention I'm still stuck in a situation where I can't get another car no matter how much I want it or how good a deal it may be. Plus, anything that would need a trailer will have to wait until I have the new van running and insured. Basically - there's a huge difference between what I want and what I can actually do right now.
In reply to Ian F :
Understood. There are a LOT of projects Want to take on, but sadly, I'll have to get the kids grown up a bit more before they can materialize.

So...did you sell it or is it still waiting for a new home?
I have a really nice TR7 coupe and can't even get anybody to look at it for the $4k I'd be willing to sell it for. Mint body and interior, sliding Webasto top, decent sound system, aluminum rad, Weber carbs, Panasport wheels, stainless exhaust, etc. I converted it to a 5 speed and swapped in a 3.45 rear end. Just a real nice driver that gets compliments everywhere it goes, yet nobody wants to buy it. There just isn't any demand for them and if you have to restore one, you will quickly be into it for twice what you could get out of it for. Slap a V8 in one, or get lucky and stumble across a real TR8 coupe and the dynamics change. There is more demand and less supply for those. Plus they are just a way better driving experience than a 4 banger powered wedge.

Sounds nice, but a little on the pricey side for what I want it for. Plus an intense hatred of Webasto sun-roofs...

Yaknow, the rules say it has to be a factory hardtop, but they don't say it can't be a hardtop cut off of a coupe...
