Its a 70 so it is an IRS unless it's been swapped.

When you drop and chop one like that I think you're supposed to cut the rear beam (which holds the engine trans and rear suspension) out and weld it back in farther up so it has some suspension travel left and doesn't have a cast magnesium oil sump a few inches from the road.

The center spine which carries the suspension on either end is the frame of the car, the body is bolted to it and the outer rim of the body then ties in to provide additional structure. But the fact that you can remove the body and bolt a dune buggy to it should tell you its not a unibody.
