Wanted: 4x4, good rubber, under challenge budget

Looking for something to drive this winter, dont really care about brand/options/mileage. Willing to travel for the right unit. Prefer 4x4 and good tires and priced accordingly.

$2500 1991 w150 ext cab long bed.

4x4 works runs good, has new tires. 318/727.

Vibrates, has vague steering, clicking from left front axle

$3500 1984 Ramcharger

4x4 318/727, painted eight or so years ago but it ain't perfect. Runs and drives ok, old 30s in good shape. Meyer/factory plow that works (a solenoid sticks sometimes and one ram leaks).

Smokes a little, interior is a hodgepodge and the dash is not hooked up. I got it in a trade and don't really need it.

Sorry about the not $2k thing, hard to find working 4x4 in a running truck here for that!

Lot bigger than what I need for the price - I have a 25 mile each way commute, would prefer a cute ute or a Subaru or similar.
