Weird, French, Cheap - You don't have to pick two!

1983 Peugeot 505sr. 5spd, this is a European spec car that was imported from France. I've owned it for several years and mainly used it for car shows. Right now it's having issues with the carburetor & I'm tired of messing with it. It starts and runs but won't idle and starves for gas. I ran it last year with a 'weber' carb I 'borrowed' from another car I have & it ran fine. I have not been able to get it to run right with it original carb. 
Body is extremely solid & was completely repainted several years ago. Beautiful original euro only interior. 4 brand new tires, new front calipers, brake hoses & pads. New clutch master cylinder & slave cylinder. 1 year old brake master cylinder. Recent complete new exhaust. European headlights have lost there 'silvering' So are not bright but can be fixed. $1500 cash.

I like it, a lot and it's close but I have had BAD experiences with French cars. You should buy it

Looks like a “expensive” bargain.  It does look pretty nice for the price.

Weird, French and cheap...I opened this thread expecting something very different...imagine my disappointment.

I would love to have that, I'll own a 505 or 504 someday. 

I will never forget seeing a gray 505 turbo with a cage in it and an SCCA sticker at a stop light  in Columbus about 20  years ago.
