Who like Pintos??

I met a man at the Challenge who said he had a car he wanted to get rid of- a former race car Pinto with a 351 Cleveland. Set up for 1/8 mile drag racing, including a full cage. Hasn't been run in more than 10 years.

He caught my interest, and implied he may let it go for very little (Challenge budget).

But the reality is that there is NO WAY I am going to chase this. PLEASE save me from my own misery and do something cool with this!

My Mom hated Pintos.

Whenever someone says something bad about Pintos, I just say "Hey, if it was good enough for Bob Glidden, it's good enough for me!"

I have had 6 of them. They ranged from stock to Stupid fast. I almost did another one before having this truck fall into my lap.

I have a soft spot for them. Don't know why. I think the soft spot is a part of my skull, though. Funny enough, never owned one though. I do have a 4 speed from when that bolts to a Zetec. I guess that's why I want one. The allure of putting a Zetec into one, and less a Zetec and more a 'fancy' DOHC 4 banger.
