I have an 82 5 spd parts car....not sure what ratio diff it is supposed to have but how do I ID? Could get it to MA mid Sept...

All 81-83 280zx with a 5 speed should have the 3.9 diff. I don't know of a good way of identifying it externally other then spinning it and counting the rotations. Ring gear will have 39:10 stamped on it.
