Nice picture. We miss our wild turtles. We used to have them come and eat the fallen apples from the trees beside our car court. Inevitably, they would be munching on an apple that was many times the size of their head, see us and try to pull their head into their shell, but be stopped by the apple in their jaws. No, they weren't snappers.
