Need to change brake fluid, but you are a one-man operation? Here's an easy solution from Motive Products--- as described by the nice folks at Mueller Motorwerks.

Good product! I've owned one for about 7 years now... lent it out a 1/2 dozen times too. Works well, but some tricks must be observed to keep the operation clean (vent pressure from bleeder before releasing pressure at M/C topper) Also the M/C toppers(caps) are domestic sized... fitting the round topper on a Toyota M/C is a bit tricky..

edit - The chain they supply to secure the caps are a bit bulky so care must be used setting it up on the much smaller M/C on the import cars.

it's probably a great product … at least for those vehicles that it fits … I know for Honda's it's a PITA to get it to work …

problem ? no "easy" way to airtight seal the thing to the MC … mine is in a box somewhere gathering dust and spiders, somewhere in the back corner of the storage building

I'd bet that a few sections of this self-binding tape would create an air-tight seal for your MC. This may work until Motive comes out with new MC caps.

This tape really is magic. Everyone should have a roll in their glovebox. It's not just marketed by DEI--it's available from other vendors as well.

In reply to wbjones:

Same here. In fact I couldn't get it to work decently on any of my cars, so I sold it.

It worked great on my Mustang and Porsches. I've used on three Miatas and even at 5 psi, it blows brake fluid out everywhere and makes a huge mess.

if I worked hard enough at it I could get the chain to tighten enough to make it work … but I found that I wasted way too much fluid, and that gravity bleed worked just as well, and in the long run did the job quicker and/or with less aggravation

they told me that there weren't any plans to try to make a cap that would work on the Honda MC

when I talked with them, they did (begrudgingly) offer me my money back … attitude problem … I said it wasn't worth the effort to box it up and send it to them

Can't you get a spare MC cap and install a hose fitting on it? I haven't done this yet, but it has been my plan for a while.

I tried using the chain thing before on the Miata and had the same experience Woody did.
