We've had a power supply for a while that will let you power up a MegaSquirt (via a Stimulator test board) or DIYPNP on a bench for testing without going through 9V batteries. The catch is that it only works on 120 volts AC, so if you're trying to use it outside of North America, you require a step down transformer.
Well, not anymore! We have just replaced it with a unit that allows you to run it on 120 or 240 volts, and it comes with five different plugs to accommodate different outlets around the world.
