Rock Auto.....Totally Rocks!

I know we have fans of Rock Auto here, but after ordering a bunch of parts from them last night, I had to give them an "attaboy"

So, as many of you know, I've recently purchased a 1981 Plymouth Champ "Dual-Stick" The plan is to drive the car from IL to a Concours De LeMons in Detroit and then onto FL. The problem is....this car has been sitting in a garage since 1988 , so a little catching up on maintenance items is in order! Here's what I purchased last night:

Headlight switch

wipers (both fronts and hatch)

front brake pads

timing belt

water pump

thermostat (including gasket)

radiator hoses (upper and lower)

drive belt ( water pump to alternator)

head gasket

oil filter

valve cover gasket

Haynes repair manual

battery cables (ground and positive)

radiator cap

The total bill for this (including $28 or so shipping) was ............

$112.55!

It just blows my mind that I'd be able to buy this many essential parts, for peanuts! Well done Rock Auto....well done!

You lucked out. Normally ordering that # of parts from RockAuto would have them shipping from 5 different warehouses, each charging $10 shipping...

calteg----- they did ship from 4 different locations, but the total shipping cost was still under $28. Amazing! I'm still blown away by how cheap parts are for this old Mitsubishi in drag--- at least from Rock Auto.
