I imagine a service where you send in a balancer/pulley from an oddball engine and it comes back with a fitted wheel would be popular. This also lets you build up a library of bolt patterns.

We'll have to see what develoment costs look like, but there's a good chance this might require a group buy, probably 10 units like the MSPNP On Demand program. Even laser cut trigger wheels have an economics of scale.
I think you'd have to look at popular applications that don't have a reference you can already use, but also have a large market. Older v8 apps would probably be the best place to start since that market is starting to get the EFI itch and there is quite a bit of rather expensive competition out there.

Don't underestimate how much people will pay to avoid having to do some basic machine work themselves.
