At RockAuto.com, "Wholesaler Closeout parts" means inventory purchased from competing stores, car manufacturers, etc. Maybe the competing store is going out of business or maybe they decided there is no longer a big market for those parts in their geographic region.
Prices for Wholesaler Closeout parts are usually at least 30% less than RockAuto's regular, low priced inventory. Closeout parts did not come directly from the part manufacturer and so are covered by a 30-day warranty rather than regular manufacturer warranties.
RockAuto regularly has new Wholesaler Closeout parts to offer but quantities are always limited. If you want to be one of the first to know when new Wholesaler Closeout parts are offered for your vehicle then look up your Year, Make, Model in the www.RockAuto.com catalog. Next to your vehicles engine size click on the ‘RSS’ box. On the next page choose your RSS reader or choose to receive emailed announcements.
Wholesaler Closeout parts can always also be found just by shopping the RockAuto.com catalog. Just look for parts labeled "Wholesaler Closeout" or parts with a "Choose:" box where you can choose between closeouts and regular inventory.

I've bought parts from them, and when parts for those vehicles have come up on clearance, I've received an email! Very nice. Saved me a bunch on parts I would have otherwise put off buying.
Thanks for posting! Good information to know
That was exactly the push I needed to order some maintenance parts for the might Benzenvagen.
Color me a very happy customer.
Wow, excellent prices. I've bookmarked the site.

Some constructive criticism.
I signed up for the RSS feed and I think it's great. I was alerted about motor mounts for my Volvo which I really need. I went on the website and they were priced very competitively. I was in the process of purchasing them until I saw the shipping. Shipping for two motor mounts was almost $18 because they were being shipped seperately from two locations. I understand that you have to pass the shipping cost to the customer to maintain a profit but that killed the deal. I was able to get the same mounts from another supplier for considerably less due to their lower shipping fees.
I'm not sure how you can address the shipping costs but I know other companies also ship from multiple locations without charging multiple shipping fees.
If anyone feels this post isn't appropriate just let me know and I'll delete it. My intention is only to give feedback, not bash anyone, especially a supporter of Grassroots Motorsports.

I love RockAuto. They sold me a Maxima transmission mount for $7.97 (Anchor part # 2487). My local Nissan dealer wanted $208.00 for the same part.
In that case, a few bucks in shipping didn't matter.
