Cool! Are those downforce and drag lb numbers from cfd or from real world testing?

Interesting. Is there a standard tool or software package? I've built a homemade wing and I plan to test it with live data, but obtaining a software liscense for most packages is a bit of a downstroke!

I'd love to be able to compare my wing to the wings available on the market.

It looks like you guys use openfoam for cfd in your cfd wind tunnel package. I'll give that a look!

@Shakey Dog Racing

See those marks across the middle of Tramp’s bumper? That’s the sign of incredible teamwork. As Matt Colley/Tramp was on his “in” lap for a fuel stop, he ran out of fuel in turn 10A and coasted to a stop at the top of the hill just under the bridge. Unable to make it into the pits, he was stuck at top of the hill and so he called in his situation on the radio. Hearing the chatter on the radio, Robert Thorne (driving Moose at the time) saw Matt sitting at the top of the hill as he came down the back straightaway. With his unbelievably quick processing skills and incredible sense of teamwork, Thorne pulled up behind Matt and pushed him over the crest of the hill which gave Matt enough speed to coast through the pits and directly to our stall for refueling. Unbelievable! We are so blessed to have an amazing group of people that truly know the meaning of teamwork!

Smashed some records this weekend.

I'm still coming down from this weekend's high. Another hill climb, a class record smashed by 4.4 seconds, 2nd fastest overall, and best of all, the car completely unscratched.
I can't thank enough folks, from Jen, Eric for coming down and running / crewing (and earning a 3rd in class), Dru for letting me borrow him for the weekend, Heikki, the CCR-SCCA crew for putting on the event and all the workers.
An absolutely tremendous event.

Big thank you to John at Inlinepro and James Houghton for saving me when I had a turbo failure yesterday. Slapped a new one on in the dark last night and beat the track RWD Limited record today. Started the morning in 2nd place but came back with a faster lap 1:08.7 for a 1st place win with global time attack! The car is really starting to fly and it has more in it still!

More goodies incoming! We are developing a front aero kit for NA/NB miatas!

We've been doing CFD tests for this, so these designs are actually backed from data too! Not surprising to most here, the typical combination of air-dam, 3-4" splitter, ducting, and low drag rear wing makes for a good aero balance on a NA/NB. So the wheel isn't being completely reinvented on this configuration. Though it is improved upon, backed with testing, and most importantly..... making it easier to bring this type of aero to the masses.

The goal of this kit is to be a bolt-on install process, no fabrication required, and sturdy enough to hold up to your typical track abuse within reason!!

The kit will include air-dam pre-cut, radiator ducting, splitter, and splitter mounts. Prototype version 1 here, changes have already happened and will likely continue.

The kit is modular, meaning you won't have to run the air-dam if you don't want to. The splitter can be specified in it's size, so it can flush with the air-dam or entirely behind the bumper line to be an "under-tray". It fits with OEM bumpers, NB pictured here.

It even works with the tow-hooks.

Additional testing with different materials for both the mounts/ducting and the splitter this weekend at Road Atlanta. Once this is completed we'll have an actual idea of time-lines for release or maybe additional testers, we shall see.

Once finalized we'll have entire aero packages, including this front-aero kit and a rear wáng. High, medium, and low down-force options will be available. The one on my car is the medium config and likely the most popular option. The entire medium option package will have a price-point lower than your typical carbon-fiber wing kit.
