I'm adding more lights to my shop and was concerned about adding too many fixtures, based on what I see here it will be fine.

You'll definitely want to check the steering geometry before going too far down that road.

Flaming River sells a 90 deg device that might actually make that rack input angle work reasonably well with the OE Volvo column shaft.
