Shortly after making the decision to look for a MK1 Capri to rebuild I was talking to a friend in Vancouver and mentioned that I was looking for a Capri. He asked why and I told him. Never thought to much about it at the time but a couple of days later he sent me a link to an ad in Washington state on Kijiji for a 74 Capri. Long story short we ended up bringing the car home as it was as near as we could ever hope to find in a rust free car. Photos below show the car as found in the farmers back field.
After some negotiation we were able to buy the body minus engine and trans for $300 American.
