Impressive work! Especially in the amount of time spent cleaning and painting everything. That and tackling a wiring nightmare.

Thanks!! My coupe was the "beta test" so alot of this stuff I'm doing for the second, third or fourth time around!! I made most of the mistakes on the coupe!!

Man! don't hate on the "Quattro of dilapidation"!! It's had a hard life! These cars (B2's) have a few weak spots (power window mechanism, door handles, odometer, etc.), but for the most part, run forever. I've beat the hell out of the coupe on the track and it's held up remarkably well, especially for a 30 year old car with 300,000+ miles on it!!
i like those hood vents. been thinking about putting something over the turbo on mine. . . what are they?

Trying to remember.. mid 90's Chevy..... Lumina Z34!
Testing the fit of the axles: 1990 20v B3 coupe quattro axles in an '84 B2 4000q with 1994 V6 B4 90 struts... funny how it all fits!!!
Moar stuff for the racecar (AKA: blew all my financial cookies, aka: got a new credit card)
Pulled a 20v "7A" back in April. Found another 7A at my local junkyard, was only able to pull the head, I'll use it as a spare if need be... Found a good deal on a used "Spec" aluminum flywheel. Found a good deal on a used 034 "1C" EFI ECU! And... last but not least: Found a GREAT deal on a used "AAN" turbo, ex. manifold, wastgate, intercooler, downpipe, oil and coolant lines....
Thanks for posting your build, I just started one too. Check it out when you get a minute.

More updates to come: Revamped cooling system, new windshield.
Steering wheel: The wheel, quick release and Momo hub adapter were right about $225 shipped from Amazon!!
Oil cooler is installed, lines need more more work, the rest of the cooling system (main and aux radiator) is installed, tested and working, almost all the ducting is in place:
