More progress I got it in the garage got the intake mounted up and started to mock up the harness and get it ready to wire. I was a lot more confident in the wiring harness when it was out side the car lol. If anyone reads this and has tips let me know.

Looks like a mess right now a jumbled mess of electric spaghetti but it will get there ... probably

I would use a series of small zip-ties to make "look" more manageable. Start at the firewall and work out from there. Eventually when you get it all sorted out, cut the little ones off and dress the wiring off with larger ones with mounting features.

This is great.  I’m excited to see it done.  I’ve been off and on with my 244 5.3 swap for a couple years and hope to actually do it this year.  This is definitely motivation.  What did you use for motor mounts?

One bite at a time.

I use masking tape and a fine sharpie to label everything. Then group it all by where it's headed. Zip ties or tape after that. I recommend non-adhesive friction tape for the final.

Yep thats the plan just need to read some more about setting up the stand alone harness, I am using the factory harness and just seperating all the external inputs and setting up a fuse and relay block as well as a obd2 port

I am hoping it will be awesome and Ill be able to make it all work. For the mounts I had mad a set of my own out of some plate steel and pipe with a weld in bushing and through bolt but did not love the fitment so I ended up buying them off of a guy on facebook called Griffin Performance https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1518186228238448&id=114053585318393 and the mounts are great. You can also buy them from sts machine I have heard really good things about those

Since you've mentioned turbobricks, linuxman51 is a friend of mine here in Montgomery and he's done an L33/turbo/4l80e/Megasquirt on a 940 wagon.  You should PM him and he may even be willing  to help with tuning.  He has his own damn dyno so......

Got more wiring done this weekend started running the wires to the correct places and taping them into branches or things trying to make it as invisible as possible. I realized the tape on the some of the plugs I labeled has come off so i don't remember where they go but I am thinking they are for the accessories.

This is from inside the car on the passenger side foot well. Going to mount the pcm on the fire wall and put the ob2 and the fuse/relay block in the glove box. I extended all the wires I need for outputs and fuses, If anyone has any tips on this part I would love to here them.

Also ordered some manifolds found a blemished set on ebay

Looks similar to the holley ones though I wish they were a vband and not a 2 bolt flange but what can you do

Did som work this weekend, got the loom fully wrapped, pulled the engine and trans, go all the gaskets refreshed on the engine, got the torque converter installed, cleaned everything and got it painted and looking spiffy. Still need to figure out the trans cooler lines and trans dip stick.

Before:

After:

Next up trans cooler lines and then slam that bad boy back in that bay

Things to still buy
Trans cooler
Shifter
Engine Dip stick
Trans Dip stick
Drive shaft
Tablet for Gauges

Got the fuel system figured out, running the older style rails with the return line and built in regulator. Currently working on making an exhaust going to run 2.5" off the manifolds back to a 2-1 y with a 3 inch output merging just behind the trans mount so it can connect to v-band on my current 3" exhaust out the back.

Need to figure out the wiring for the external inputs to go to the fuse and relay block and figure out the drive by wire pedal setup, and unlock the pcm but progress will be made

Got the engine back in the car starting to figure out exhaust, there was some major clearance issues with the manifold and the stock steering shaft but with suggests from people who had done this swap before that coleman racing shaft worked great, now I have tons of room ... but still tons to do on this car
