CLK Lightweights painted very dark or black. No center caps. Bushwacker flairs. Side exit exhaust & noisy. Figure out a manual swap or some kind of shift kit for the automatic. Mild lowering with a slight rake.

My favorite oem Mercedes wheels are the Alphards.

I have recently discovered that I can ship just about anything cheapest with USPS. I would suggest looking into that. If you're concerned about a clumsy mailman or the boxes getting stolen from the doorstep, you can send them "General Delivery" in care of the town's post office and the buyer has to pick them up there. I don't think it saves you any money, but it eliminates one step in handling.
I'll have to remove the tires first. Tom send me your contact information. I'll send you details on the wheels if you like.

Wouldn't have expected the Segins to look that good on the blue one. Also, that last white one is messed up with flared radiused wheel Openings and wide carlssons. Looks wicked

Sent you pics.
Ya know, I have always liked the clean lines of the 300TE. There's one that's been put out to pasture up the street from my house, as well as a few on Craigslist. Thanks for reminding me that I want my own PanzerWagon.
Boom, looks like yupididit's wheels are going to be coming to Florida. I'll post some pictures tonight.
Cleaning starts at 9am on Saturday.

I'm curious: What size are the wheels and tires on the car now?
From what I can tell, MB made many wheels that were similar in look and feel but in a variety of sizes. Examples.
Offset of the 16s is likely more of the reason you are getting rubbing. Offset in the 30-40 range is about right for w124s. If they are 16x8 that would cause it as well.
No, it's definitely the offset. They stick out about 1.5", and the last guy rolled the front fenders....
I'm psyched for these Ronals, and 15" tires are very easy to find for me. Heck, there are at least 5 sets of them within 20 feet of my desk. It sounds like I might already have a tire sponsor, too.
Woody wrote: Good choice. I have a set of Porsche R9s, and if I can ever get up the nerve to roll my fenders (original paint), I'll put them on the car. They've had one set of track tires on them since new. They've never been on the street.
That's the cleanest set of r9s I've seen in the last...forever.
In reply to mndsm:
They're better than they look in the photo. I'm not sure that they've ever been dirty.
Well, I looked it over better on Saturday. The verdict...
FOR SALE!
Long story short, rust. It's got a few small holes in the roof, and around the rear glass it's got some rust, too. Nothing else, and the underside looks brand new. But I just don't want to deal with it anymore.
Runs and drives great, save for the lack of heat (core has been bypassed) and A/C that seems to be cold, but only when you flip the toggle switch zip-tied under the steering column. It's only charging at 13 volts, too. Not sure if that's just the old battery or not.
I have a clean title.
Total invested:
Car: $250
Title: $60
Clean CARFAX: $40
Full tank of gas: $40
Tow vehicle fuel: $50
Total: $440
A week of my time: Priceless
Make me an offer. I'm not sure how long it will drive, but it will certainly drive far enough to not be my problem anymore.
Oh, and yes I'm still buying those Ronal wheels. No you can't have them–I'm saving them for my next W124 wagon.
That's too bad it didn't work out, I always liked those W124 wagons. I hate rust too, and waiting for a better starting point to come your way makes a lot of sense.
