Here is my $2014 project. Its a '91 S10 that currently is a 2.8l V6 and a 5 speed that I bought for $400. The truck did not come with tires(only wheels) those are actually some rollers I had that I put on it before bringing it home. I wish I would have saved a screen shot of the Craigslist ad. The clutch is bad in it so it doesn't move under its own power but it does crank and run. I have gathered a 350($300) an M21 ($250). So from the jump I'm in $950. I hope to sell the motor and trans to make back a little money. Basic Idea is to keep the truck streetable so I will put some money in the interior. Its gonna be tight with the budget, but looking forward to it.

Updates with no pictures. I got a Clutch, Pressureplate, flywheel, and Bellhousing on Craigslist for $70. Ill have to get a novak adapter to make the bellhousing fit, but still a good deal. Motor mounts came in. I got some bucket seats out of a blazer as well. Last night I disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled the shifter. Still no bites on the motor and trans that are in it.

Hopefully I have the manifolds taken care of. I have secured a set of the 45 degree ram horn manifolds. Heavier but if i can clear them itll keep the engine compartment much cleaner than with headers. Wont know for sure until I set the motor in. If all else fails ill flip them over and run stacks out of the top.
