Oh, also, I figured out what was up with the four-wheel-drive system. Everything works fine, but one of the inner CV joint cups has a chunk missing. That explains why they pulled both axles out.
Bright side: those inner cups come with the axles and they are cheap.
Down side: I'll have to drop the diff to change them.
Your next cheap Isuzu project should be another Trooper or an extended cab 4x4 P'up. Preferably with an automatic.

Yeah, but you did your first Porsche 944 clutch when you were, like, nine so this should be no sweat.
