Well I didn't fix it yet. But a deal's been worked out and it's somebody else's problem now. It's going to Indiana (not the same guy who got my Caddy) to maybe become a Challenge car.
I'll let the responsible party speak up and claim it on their own when they're ready.
Got home from work at 3am and cleaned my crap out of it. Probably the best terrible purchase I ever made, but I highly doubt I'm going to miss it when it leaves.

It's impressive how far you managed to get out of that thing
I know a guy from Indiana who has a history with Saturns but I think he swore he was done with them.

Yes, after daily driving one for 18 years, I've graduated up from them. It wasn't me.
I'm told the new owner has a GRM account but to be honest I don't think he's active. So this thread might just die here. Would be cool if it didn't, but that's not my problem anymore.
Hey Daylan, what would you estimate your cost per mile wound up being for this car?
Purchase price plus major items divided by miles,driven....
I bet the guy wondered what the hell was up with the Interstellar Sledgehammer sticker lol
You got a lot out of that car, I know some people swear by saturns. The only real complaints I hear are oil consumption

I estimate my total cost of the car and parts was around $700. Including a brand new set of tires. I did plugs/wires and replaced the valve cover gasket. I didn't keep very good track of fluid expenditures but it definitely has an issue with both leaking and burning oil. I also didn't keep very good track of mileage but my commute is 43 miles each way, 4 days a week. For one semester I was doing morning classes and working 2nd shift so I made the trip from Glasgow to Bowling Green twice on those days. One month I did happen to notice that I put around 4 thousand miles on it in one month.
Insurance was about $118 a month after my rates went up following my accident in mom's Honda.
So I don't have real numbers, but the car owes me nothing. I will probably never get that lucky with a crappy car ever again.

Unless you end up with another S-series. After 7 of them, they still impress the hell out of me.

Definitely holding out for an SW2 if I ever get dumb enough to buy another.
Or get an 06 Ion/Opel. It'll seem like a BMW in comparison!

If I wanted a real car I wouldn't be buying another Saturn.
I will say that the Miata that effectively replaced this SL is somehow a much more civilized place to be.
Received word today that the water pump was the leak. Which I had suspected but stopped caring before I ever took time to dig deeper into it.
Also, I'm a huge fan of what's been done to this terrible car and what's being planned for it.
